Janet also played a pivotal role in liaising with title companies and clients to resolve any title defects that arose, ensuring smooth and successful transactions. She expertly prepared comprehensive closing statements and attended closings, ensuring a seamless conclusion to each transaction.
During her tenure with the Entrepreneurship & IP Clinic, Janet gained invaluable hands-on experience providing legal opinions and guidance to clients seeking to establish non-profit organizations. She assisted clients in filing tax exemption forms, ensuring they could maximize their benefits under the law. Janet played a critical role in drafting and reviewing Articles, bylaws, and policies to ensure compliance and organizational effectiveness for non-profit entities. She also gained valuable exposure to the complexities of securities law during her internship as a Legal Assistant in the Securities Regulation Department. Janet graduated from Minzu University of China with bachelor of law and bachelor of art double major. She then received her Juris Doctor degree from Washington University in St. Louis.
