Kristin focuses her practice in areas of Wills, Trusts & Estates as well as Matrimonial and Family Law. In her practice, Kristin assists clients in the areas of wills, trusts, probate, estate litigation, estate administration, power of attorney, asset preservation, cy pres proceedings, guardianship, child custody, child support, spousal support, family offense, domestic violence, abuse and neglect proceedings, termination of parental rights, divorce and prenuptial/postnuptial agreements.
Kristin has been assisting families and individuals with their legal needs since 2011. She started her career providing children in the foster care system with stability and permanency whether via a return to their biological parents or through guardianship or adoption. Kristin then expanded her services and applied her litigation and problem-solving skills to those families looking for guidance through the difficult times of death, separation, divorce, disagreements and turmoil as well as those families and individuals looking to plan for the future and protect their families and assets whether through estate planning or guardianship proceedings. During law school, Kristin interned at inMotion, Inc. (now Her Justice) and at the Center for Family Representation. Throughout her career has also had the opportunity to apply her skills in the areas of records confidentiality and privacy practices, non-profit corporations and small claims. Kristin is an active member of the New York State Bar Association and serves as a member of the Family Law Section and the Trusts and Estates Section. Kristin is also a member of the New York Women’s Bar Association and the Westchester Women’s Bar Association.
Kristin received a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Connecticut, then went on to receive a Juris Doctor from New York Law School. Her undergraduate studies have provided a framework for understanding the multitude of family dynamics, the sociological understandings of family, individual psychology and how to assist families navigate their legal needs.
